"A Gentleman's Drink"
Frank Sinatra was notorious for being particular about his cocktails. His favorite? It was a simple cocktail he referred to as "A Gentleman's Drink", Jack Daniels Tennessee Whiskey on the rocks - 3 cubes to be exact - with a splash of water (perhaps the only time Sinatra drank water).
As Frank ordered it: 4 ices cubes, 2 fingers of Jack, and splash of water.
Dry & Cold, Very Cold
Sinatra was also known to love a Classic Beefeater Martini, but it had to be very dry and very, very cold.
2.5 oz Beefeater gin
2 dashes Dry Vermouth
Pour both ingredients in a shaker and stir until well chilled. Frank liked it served on the rocks with a twist of lemon. Can also be served straight up in a chilled martini glass.
